Novak Race Report:
Congratulations to Novak Team Driver, Zack Genova, for his racing prowess at the 2012 ROAR Electric Off-Road Supernationals, which is still currently underway at West Coast RC Raceway in La Mirada, CA. Zack took the TQ and win in the 4WD Buggy Stock 17.5 class.
Zack also finished a very impressive 3rd in both 17.5 Buggy and 17.5 2WD Truck. Rough luck in qualifying made the main events hard work for Zack, but some skillful driving enabled him to work his way from outside the top five, right onto the podium!
Zack’s equipment of choice: Novak’s Havoc Pro SC w/X-Drive ESC and a Premium Ballistic 17.5 brushless motor.Traveling all the way from Florida, and just a mere 15 years old, this was Zack’s first ROAR National! We see a bright future in RC for young Zack!
Another Novak Team Driver, Cody Turner, also had a good week at the Nationals by making his way into the top 10 in the Mod 2WD Buggy class. Cody was flirting with the top 3, but ended up 6th on the grid. A few bad breaks in the mains resulted in Cody finishing 9th overall. Cody’s equipment of choice: Novak’s Havoc Pro SC w/X-Drive ESC and a Ballistic brushless motor with vented end bells.
