ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Border Wars RC Racing Series started this weekend in Albuquerque. This is just the first stop of four, covering three states in total. This series goes from this month all the way until October 18th. Between that time racers will go to Pueblo, Colorado, then to Amarillo, Texas, and finish up in White Rock, New Mexico.

This hobby has become very popular over the past ten years, with some racers making a comfortable living traveling across the country racing remote control cars. This series is highly competitive and talented, but it is not to the professional standard. This series is comprised more of a tight knit group that have been racing together for more than 10 years in some cases.
