Revolution Raceway in Appleton, Wisconsin has announced the Matt Gerald Benefit Race this weekend. The benefit race this Saturday May, 4th 2013 is for one of the local race heroes who was recently hurt. Matt Gerald has raced modified buggies for years and pro-lite trucks last year in the TORC series. He was recently involved in a racing accident which left him with a broken back. Doctors told him he probably will never walk unassisted. Today he is off his crutches and walking with ankle/leg supports!
Revolution Raceway says:
"All entry fees and donations will be going directly to Matt and his family. Gifts, entry fees, and merchandise will be raffled throughout the race day and forwarded to Matt. Matt and his family have been in the RC scene over 10 years and support local racers. We are proud to have him at our facility!"
