Marc Jensen retires from Byron Fuels after 30 years of service

 

Byron Fuels has announced today that long-time marketing manager, friendly face at the races, and a good friend to us all, Marc Jensen, will be retiring after 30 years of service. With that being said, they are now looking for someone to fill that position, and it could be YOU!

Byron Originals, Inc., has announced the retirement of long time Marketing Manager, Marc Jensen, effective February 28, 2014.

Marc began his employment at Byron Originals when the company was becoming well known in the hobby industry as a pioneer in the manufacture of the exquisite line of Byron Originals giant scale radio control aircraft kits.

In 1986, Marc was instrumental in the development of Byron Fuels which today is unquestionably the global leader in model engine fuels. As the hobby evolved, Marc closely monitored the changing needs of the hobby market. Through a close network of modelers and research personnel, Marc was able to present real time solutions to meet those changing needs and kept the company’s products current and many times ahead of the curve.
 
Marc’s organizational and promotional skills were instrumental in the company’s entry in the pool and spa market. A totally new dealer network had to be established to market Byron’s line of successful spa accessories which are today known as the finest in the industry.

When asked to comment on his career, Marc replied, “When I accepted this position, I thought it looked like something fun to do for a couple years. That was 30 years ago and each day since has been a pure joy”.

Byron Originals is currently searching for a Director of Sales and Marketing and hopes to find a replacement for Marc very soon. Experience in the hobby is a primary requirement.
