Our good friends at Sutton Aviation Raceway have shared with us some exciting news they uncovered late last night. Schumacher Racing has signed on board MIP's Matt Olson to their 2014 offroad team, as well as supplied MIP with the necessary car kits to produce their signature drivetrain and accessories,
MIP is quoted saying, "Just received a small care package from Schumacher Racing, and though it was a small box, what emerged were 3 buggy kits including the Cougar KR (rear engine), Cougar Sv2 (mid engine) and the Cougar KF (forward engine) and a grip of parts! With the hopes of breaking into the UK market MIP and Schumcher have joined forces going into 2014, and as you can guess drivetrain parts are already on the drawing board. We just have to get the kits built. In the hopes of further presence in the U.S., Schumacher has stepped up to the plate and offered MIP's Team Manager Matt Olson a spot on their 2014 race team."
According to Sutton Aviation Raceway, Matt had this to say, "I'd like to thank Schumacher and MIP for the opportunity to race 1/10 2wd/4wd buggy going into 2014, and only hope that I can help and support both companies on and off the race track just as much as they support me."
