World Champion Casey Stoner uses HUDY products

Casey Stoner shocked the motorsport World, announcing his retirement whilst in the best form of his career during the 2012 French GP. The Australian rider enjoyed a spectacular 2011 season after returning to the Honda family to be a part of the factory team after having spent four very impressive seasons with Ducati Corse, where he won the 2007 World Championship. However, his second MotoGP World title was been even more impressive with 16 podiums in 17 races, 12 pole positions (a record in a single season, matching Mick Doohan), 10 victories and 7 fastest laps. Stoner made his name in Ducati in 2007, giving the Italian manufacturer its first and only World title and etched his name in the history books in his first season with Honda, winning their first and only 800cc title in 2011.
Born in Stockport, Queensland, Australia, Stoner has been riding bikes since the tender age of four, and by the age of six had won his first Australian title. Travelling around Australia from the age 6 – 14 accompanied by his family, Stoner won 42 Australian dirt and long track titles and over 70 state titles. At the age of 12, Stoner raced the Australian Long Track Titles on the New South Wales Central Coast in 5 different categories, with seven rounds in each capacity; a total of 35 races over the one weekend. Winning 32 out of 35 races and taking all five titles in one meet, it was only a matter of time before Casey Stoner would hit the World stage.
With Stoner dominating youth motorcycling in Australia, in 2000 a young Casey and his family relocated to the UK (where legal age for road racing is 14, compared to Australia’s 16) where Stoner competed in the 125cc championships in Britain and Spain, winning the English 125cc Aprilia Championship in 2000. Stoner continued to impress riding for the Red Bull KTM Factory Team in 2004. In 2005, onboard a factory Aprilia in the 250cc world championship class, Stoner proved to be a serious threat to Dani Pedrosa who eventually went onto win the championship, Stoner claiming a strong second place.
His premier class debut was in 2006 riding for Honda with Team LCR. He accomplished pole position in only his second ever MotoGP race and a podium in his third, his rookie season saw him take eighth in the final championship standings. He caught the attention of Ducati Corse and in 2007 he secured a ride with the factory team and won his first title. He spent four seasons in Ducati and returned to Honda last year to win his second title.
Since his debut in MotoGP in 2006, Casey has won 38 Grand’s Prix making him the most successful rider of the 800cc era and 4th overall in premier class victories, behind Rossi (79), Agostini (68) and Doohan (54).
