Former ISTC World Champion Jilles Groskamp moves to HB-HPI Racing

Team HB is thrilled and honoured to announce that former World and European Champion Jilles Groskamp will be joining our on-road racing team!

“I'm extremely happy with the opportunity that HB-HPI Racing has given me to join their team. I would like to thank Tatsuro Watanabe and Hiro Kasuya for making this happen. I have been following Team HB’s nitro and electric car improvements over the last few years and I have no doubt that they have some of the best cars on the market. My goal is to work close together with all the team drivers to improve all the cars even more, and also help customers with their HB rides in the best possible way.

Jilles has been a top competitor on the world stage since the early 2000’s, after beginning his rise up the European rankings in the mid-1990’s. With many wins and podium appearances around the world, Jilles is a master of electric car setup and fast driving, and he’s also been racing nitro on-road at the highest levels for the past few years, including winning the 2013 1/8th Track IC European Champion crown.

2013 EFRA 1/8th Track IC European Champion
2012-2013 IFMAR ISTC World Champion
2010-2011 IFMAR 1/12th On-Road Worlds 2nd place
2009 EFRA ISTC European Champion
2008 IFMAR 1/10th Nitro TC Worlds TQ

Jilles brings with him a wealth of race experience and will be working closely with Andy, Teemu, JJ, Freddy and the entire HB factory and R&D team will help continue to develop and improve HB racing cars for more race wins and championships, not just for themselves but for all HB racers.
