Competition breeds innovation, and so major RC races are a prime opportunity to develop and introduce new products. JConcepts debuted several items at this week’s ROAR Electric Off-Road Nationals at the Hobbytown USA HobbyPlex, with team drivers using them in several classes.

The new Space Bar tire is currently being used as a 2WD front and 2WD/4WD rear, molded for 2.2-inch wheels, and a 4WD front tire will also be made available. JConcepts founder Jason Ruona said the tread pattern is a result of spacing out the bars and lugs of the popular Dirt Web, which helps the tire break in more quickly. The carcass is also rounder than the Dirt Web, which also meant shortening the sidewalls of the rear tires. Ruona explained that this leads to a better shaped profile when the foam insert wears, whereas the Dirt Web tires can be too flat. The Space Bar is only available in Gold compound this weekend.

In addition to the long chord Aero wing that JConcepts includes with the S2 body for the B6 buggy platform, a short chord version will be available as an option. The smaller side dams increase corner rotation, which is ideal for faster and grippier tracks - defending world champion Spencer Rivkin is using the short chord wing this weekend.

Back in March, JConcepts introduced 3D-printed front wing mounts for the B5M and 22 platforms. Now, the company has molded plastic options - which are stronger and less expensive - available for the B5, B6, 22, YZ-2, XB2 and RB6 buggies.

In addition to the bulkhead-mounted front wings, JConcepts now has shock tower-mounted front wings for all of the buggies listed above.
