This past weekend was round five of the JBRL Nitro Series at Heritage R/C Park in Chula Vista, CA. The nearly 200 entries made for a long day, but the racing was great with a number of talented driver’s in attendance. The Heritage R/C crew did an amazing job putting in a fresh layout for the event and the track had awesome traction both wet and dry.

Drake controlled the race and took the win by nearly 10 seconds. Ryan Lutz finished second and Steve Harris finished third. Drake used Pro-Line M3 Holeshot 2.0 tires and Tekin’s RX8 Gen 2 / 1900KV combo to power his Mugen Seiki MBX7R Eco.

In the final race of the night, Drake again got a good start and controlled the race from start to finish taking the win by a comfortable margin over Kody Numedahl, and Ryan Lutz. Drake’s Mugen MBX7R was powered by a Novarossi Mito 4 engine and Pro-Line Holeshot 2.0 tires.
