TEKNO R/C - UK NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

Tekno's season long domination of the UK Short Course Nationals concludes with championship title victory.

In what turned out to be an extremely successful season for the UK Tekno RC team, the championship was still in the balance going into the final round at Silverstone MCC on Sunday 27th September.

The final meeting of the seven round series was TQ'd and won by team driver Jon Spencer with teammate Darren Boyle in second, with both drivers taking two TQ's apiece in qualifying and then both taking a leg win each in the 3 legged A-finals, with Jon winning by virtue of the faster winning time.

Both drivers were running the Tekno SCT410.3, controlled by the Tekin RX8 Gen 2 ESC and Pro4 HD 4300kv motor combination and powered by Vampire 6400mah 100C LIPO's.

Jon became the 5th different Tekno driver to take a TQ or a win this season as Tekno trucks TQ'd and won 5 of the 7 rounds of the championship.

Jon and Darren were also accompanied by Tekno drivers Lewis Williamson, Justin Kirk, Jonathan Szymanski and Eddy Rowland in the A final which saw over half the field running the SCT410 platform.

After the racing had concluded, the points were calculated and the series overall positions were finalised. Going into the final round, team driver Darren Boyle and last year's winner

Danny Conway were tied completely on points and unable to be separated.

By virtue of his second place in both finals and qualifying, Darren managed to improve his series score by a single point to take the overall series win and become UK National Champion for 2015 in 4wd Short Course.

The winning did not stop there. with young team driver Lewis Williamson, also taking home the junior title in 4wd along with his 5th place overall finish too.

All of the team drivers in 4wd were using the Tekno SCT410.3 truck, controlled by the super smooth Tekin RX8 Gen2 ESC and Pro4 HD 4300kv motor, powered by Vampire Racing 6400mah 100C LIPO's. The entire team also used wheels, bodies and accessories from JConcepts, Avid R/C, Lunsford and Exotek Racing too.

The 2wd series also concluded with team drivers Jimmy Noke (Exotek DESC210) and Darren Boyle (X-Factory SCX-61) finishing in 5th and 6th place overall respectively in the series.

This year saw 98 racers compete in the series (38 in 4wd and 60 in 2wd) as we travelled to tracks all over the country including ARC (Chelmsford), NDOR (Nottingham), Telford, Boughton (Kings Lynn), Mendip (Weston Super Mare), A1 RC (Grantham) and Silverstone (Northampton).

Congratulations to our entire X-Factory UK team on a successful 2015 season.
