The crew at Silverstone hosted the BRCA British Winter Open Championship last weekend as a kickoff to the 2016 season, and attracted 249 individual entries in mere hours - prompting the BRCA to begin planning how to handle an even larger turnout next year.

Lee Martin and Neil Cragg traded the first three rounds of 2WD qualifying, then recorded identical finishing times in the all-deciding fourth round. The tiebreaker went to Martin, who started from the front row of the grid ahead of Cragg and three Schumacher teammates. Cragg executed a terrific pass on Martin to win A1, then repeated the feat again to win A2 to secure the overall. Martin won A3 to earn second overall ahead of Tom Yardy.
