Midwest Nitro Series Race Report:
Report by Ryan Klemme

Round 2 of the MWNS was held at Clark RC hidden in the backwoods a few miles outside of Reeseville WI, Owned by a fellow racer and all around great guy Tim Clark. Many racers had attended the Friday night race the day before and had practiced on a dry slick track. On the morning of the MWNS event we got almost an inch of rain completely soaking the track. In order to get the event in 15 bags of peat moss was used to dry up the track giving the racers a whole new track surface to race on. Finding a new set up for the current track conditions would be a new challenge and very difficult to do. Some people didn’t end up where they normally would/should have weather it for better or worse but that’s the cards we were dealt. Both Tim Clark and Gary Wright did everything in their power to get the races in before the "R" word came back. Checking the radar all day long to make sure we could continue with the event modifications were made to the race program for all the racers that made the drive. Even with the unpredictable forecast we still had 126 entries, so a big thanks to each and every racer that continues to support this series. Under normal conditions we would have ran 3 rounds of qual points but with "R" word hanging over our heads all day, we did 2 rounds of rocket round qualifying and dropped the mains down a few minutes. The event ran until the rain started falling with lightning in the sky making it unsafe to continue racing.
