PROTOform Race Report:
Round 2 of the brand new Asian On-Road Championship went down in Melbourne, Australia, with Team PROTOform drivers Ronald Volker and Keven Hebert taking the wins in Touring Car Modified and 1:12 Modified. Congrats, Ronald and Keven!
Over 200 entries made this round of the AOC one of the largest races ever in Australia, even though it being run on a surface very unfamiliar to the Aussies. The country does the majority of its on-road racing outdoors on asphalt, so running this event on carpet proved to be a challenge to the local drivers. In the end, the world-class experience on carpet of Ronald and Keven, defending IIC Champions, proved to be the difference. This is Volker’s 2nd win in two AOC events, the first coming a few months back in China. The series’ next stop is August 16-18 in Bangkok, Thailand.
