A unique racing program has been born in Ontario, Canada with the help of Sutton Aviation Raceway's (SAR), Billy Sutton. After working closely with his sponsor, Schumacher Racing, together they have formed a youth award program to give back a little to the youth involved in R/C across Canada.
The applicants are nominated by someone in their local area for things like sportsmanship, volunteering, overall attitude, and lastly results. Schumacher provides the winner of this award with a car kit (winner's choice) and a 1-year sponsorship!
This year the winner of this unique program was high school junior, Dominic Peters! Joel Lagace of RCOttawa.com has sat down with the young role model for an in-depth interview:
