The Asian On-Road Championship Series, presented by Scotty Ernst, has landed in Hong Kong for its 4th round at Tom Racing Circuit. Located 5 minutes from the old facility, the newly relocated TRC tracks has been in for a year and is home to three tracks in one massive facility.

This weekend the AOC will be ran on a fresh layout on the EP track. With its massive 170ft x 100ft dimensions, it will provide generous space for 1/10th scale battles throughout the weekend. The surface is very smooth and the asphalt is very fine that should provide grip and long lasting tire wear. Club races on the EP track are only held every 2 months which makes club racing feel like a bigger race.

Next to the EP track is the GP nitro track that hosts all the nitro racing separated from electric venues. Suited for 1/8th scale open nitro, this beautiful 210ft x 120ft is very high speed and has a tremendous amount of flow. Unlike the EP track, the layout is permanent with a slight embankment on the high speed sweeper side. GP nitro races only happen 4 times a year with practice open all year long.

Finally, the newest addition to TRC is the buggy track that was recently finished within the last 3 months. Covered in a carpet that is often used in on-road, the BP has a distinctive look with its red carpet covered jumps. The BP track is also a generous 140ft x 80ft with features galore including a huge wall ride and gnarly cross-over. The first BP race will be held at the end of the year in December.

This RC paradise operates a little bit differently than your typical track with a monthly fee of 700 HKD or about $90 USD. This price includes track membership and all access to all 3 tracks! The pit area is also quite unique with 30 “container” style pits that can hold approximately 300 racers in total. The container pits are extremely popular because they are all outfitted with AC and the ability to customize your own pits the way you like.

Open pits are also available for those who just want to stop by and play for 100 HKD for the day. Unfortunately, the open table pits are subjected to extreme Hong Kong heat and being less popular, only 80 spaces are available.

With so many star drivers in attendance, this weekend's AOC round promises to be one of the most competitive of the season!
