Pro-Line EVO SC Body
$36.00

When it comes to short course racing we have a theory. The theory is that you can only go as fast as you look, meaning your truck HAS to look cool to go fast. One company who is always working to mix good looks and performance is Pro-Line Racing. One of their latest short course creations is the new EVO SC body.

The EVO SC body features an aggressive sloped nose which is designed to keep as much air as possible from getting under the hood and causing the truck to "parachute". Pro-Line incorporated the maximum amount of vents possible in the rear of the body in order to reduce drag, rear lift, and weight as much as possible.

We were fortunate enough to get our hands on one of these new bodies, and with the help of painting pro Jim Neubert of Venom Designs, we were looking good in no time!

Pros:
  • One of our favorite looking SC bodies on the market.
  • Has less body roll than a stock body.
  • A lot of holes to cut out to allow for airflow.
  • Made up of thick lexan.
Cons:
  • The body goes around the bumpers on an SC10, and crack rather quickly in the heat of battle.
  • The numerous holes to cut out for airflow takes FOREVER to cut out, however, it is highly recommended but not necessary to cut them ALL out.
Conclusion:
Overall we have to say the Pro-Line EVO SC body is among one of our favorites on the market for styling. It's unique look not only sets it apart from the others, but also performs well too. While it is all worthwhile, get ready with a pair of scissors or two...you're going to need 'em!

THURSDAY TESTIMONIALS - RANDOM ITEM OF THE WEEK:
Each week outside of the R/C world we test out and use a variety of items in our daily routines that have absolutely nothing to do with R/C, and THIS is what we think of them!

Christmas on a Wednesday

Holidays are wonderful. They give you days to enjoy time away from work with family and friends. They build memories that can last a lifetime. They bring joyous tears of laughter and happiness as you sit around the fireplace drinking warm cocoa late into the night.

This all sounds like a wonderful occasion, until you realize that it takes place on a Wednesday. You may have noticed that your "Thursday Testimonials" was a little late today. You can blame Christmas on a Wednesday for that. This morning I woke up just after 8:00, had a lovely breakfast, spent some time talking to the dog, and decided to turn on the morning news. After watching it for a bit the weather lady came on and said, "Bundle up as it is a brisk 28 degrees this Thursday morning."

Good thing I had no reason to get out of the house in this chilly weather today. Then I processed the rest of her statement, "...this THURSDAY morning." Son of a $@^#!  WHO PUTS CHRISTMAS ON A WEDNESDAY!?

Pros:
  • A wonderful Christmas holiday was spent with family.

Cons:
  • Whoever prints calendars thought it would be funny to put a day off work in the middle of the week.
  • The day off work, despite what your mind and body tells you, is NOT the start of the weekend.
  • You know that "Monday Morning" feeling? It's like doubling that in one week.

Conclusion:
I love holidays, I love Christmas, I love a day off work...NOT on a Wednesday however. I'm not really sure who to blame here, or who is in charge of making up the calendars each year, but to whomever that may be...consider this...the LiveRC "Thursday Testimonials" was an hour late today because of you...jerk.

(It's still Christmas...so it gets a 5/5 no matter what.)
