The 2014 Pro-Line Cactus Classic is officially in the books! Some fantastic racing took place all weekend long through all of the classes. The SRS facility provided racers with yet again another premiere racing layout and TONS of traction with the added sugar to the track surface. Just in case you missed it all live, we have put together a recap from this weekend's event!

2wd Mod Buggy
2wd Mod Buggy belonged to the Michigan native, Dakotah Phend. Phend, driving a TLR 22 2.0, proved to be one of the fastest on the track in timed practice, and would carry on his speed into racing. Dakotah would go on to TQ the 2wd Mod Buggy class, and steal the win in both A1 and A2 ahead of Team Associated's Ryan Maifield for the overall victory. Maifield would finish up 2nd overall with teammate Ryan Cavalieri in third.

4wd Mod Buggy
4wd Mod Buggy was one of the most exciting classes of the weekend. Team Durango's Jorn Neumann set the fast pace in qualifying taking the TQ spot. In A1 it would be the B44 of Ryan Maifield to jump out front and lead the field to the finish line with Dakotah Phend and Ty Tessmann 2nd and 3rd. Maifield would struggle in A2, and Ty Tessmann would take advantage by stealing the win over Dakotah Phend and Jared Tebo. It was still anyone's race to win, as it all came down to the final A-Main. A3 would see TQ, Jorn Neumann, back to his winning ways taking the win. Maifield and Tessmann would do battle for 2nd in the fight for the overall win. In the end, Maifield would take it away from Tessmann, securing the 4wd Mod Class victory.

Mod Stadium Truck
The Mod Stadium Truck class did not see the faces of several top drivers found in the buggy classes, however, the racing did not disappoint. Kyosho's Jared Tebo would take the TQ spot in qualifying, however, it would be Jorn Neumann who would kick off the day with an A1 win over Ryan Cavalieri and Billy Fischer. Tebo would redeem himself in A2 and A3 with the wins, and securing the overall victory ahead of Neumann and Fischer.

Mod 2wd Short Course Truck
The Modified 2wd Short Course Truck class was heated with competition, and a back and forth brawl between "The Ryans". Ryan Cavalieri would set the TQ pace, however, he would not have it easy come time for the mains. In A1, Cavalieri and Maifield battled back and forth with Maifield taking the win by less than .5 seconds over Cavalieri and Chris Wheeler. A2 would see Cavalieri back up front with Amezcua squeezing out a a 2nd place finish .2 seconds over Maifield in 3rd! It was all on the line for A3, and "The Ryans" put on quite a show. As the two wheeled their way back and forth, it would be Ryan Cavalieri who would nose across the finish line first taking the overall class victory with Maifield and Wheeler rounding out the top 3.

Mod 4wd Short Course Truck
The Modified 4wd Short Course Truck class is still a growing class among the top level drivers in the country, and this year saw one of the most competitive field of drivers we have seen yet at the Cactus Classic. TLR's Dakotah Phend would set TQ time, and carry on that pace to the A-Main. This class ran a Single A-Main format, which allowed Phend to take the overall victory with just one win. Jorn Neumann would finish up a strong second, followed by Team Durango teammate Ryan Lutz in 3rd.
