Ty Tessmann may have won the first two rounds by a convincing margin, but the road to the finals is far from over. Barring an unforeseen change to the race format caused by weather (the freak storm that struck the Naxos World Track only lasted about 20 minutes), racing will continue with rounds three and four of qualifying set for Wednesday.

However, the heats will be run in a different order.
Tuesday, Rounds 1 and 2: 1-14
Wednesday, Rounds 3 and 4: 6-14, 1-5
Thursday, Rounds 5 and 6: 11-14, 1-10

The points system that IFMAR uses varies from ROAR only slightly. Because there are 162 drivers that started races today, the winner of each round will receive 167 points. Second place earns two points less, 165, and then it’s a one point difference down to last. Drivers who do not start the round receive zero points.

There are, of course, plans put in place in case not all six rounds are completed - rule 3.3.d in the IFMAR 1/8 Scale Off Road World Championship rule book/ If only five rounds are run, each driver’s best three rounds will count. If only 4 or 3 rounds are completed, each driver’s best two will be used. And if, for some reason, only today’s races are used, the best single score will count.

With that last part in mind, here are the points standings for the top 44 drivers (those who will make the semi or quarterfinals) after Tuesday (click on the images below):
